Byron L. Tabor is the founder and president of On Target For Christ Ministries and owner of X-treme Outdoors USA. He shoots straight “On Target” to expound Biblical truth about our God-given right to the outdoors. Byron received his first longbow when he was four, learned to shoot instinctively on his own and soon arrowed his first rabbit. Since that first rabbit he has used traditional archery equipment to take hundreds of fish, small game and dozens of large game animals. What truly sets him apart is his unbelievable God-given ability to consistently shoot birds out of the air with his longbow! Byron has taken hundreds of birds on the wing - tundra swan, pheasant, duck, chukar and quail on the wing with his longbow!!!
He has successfully competed using both traditional and Olympic recurves, compounds, and longbows to win County, State, National, and World Championships. He retired from tournament archery in 1998 to accommodate his busy speaking, trick archery demonstration and video production schedule. |
In 2007 he will be featured in multiple national add campaigns. Work on several “signature series” products including everything from a custom bow fishing boat and Black Widow Longbow to his very own line of tradition arrows by Gold Tip. Conservatively 250-300,0000 special edition DVD’s of Outdoors On Target For Christ will be included in different outdoor products such as bows, safety vest and sights. These DVD’s will not only educate folks with the truth about hunting fishing and the shooting sports from a Biblical perspective but will also feature a clear presentation of the Gospel! “Education Thru Entertainment is the process of educating people with the truth about hunting, fishing and the shooting sports from a Biblical perspective using entertainment. I am convinced we will never kill or catch everything, but will loose our right to enjoy God’s creation at the voting booth. The trick archery demos/seminars and hunting footage allow me to educate folks with the truth, thus allowing them to make decisions based on facts rather than feelings!”
